FITEL FUSION SPLICERS
FITEL’s extensive range of compact specialty fusion splicers combines portability and reliability. These devices are designed for various applications, including core alignment splicing, active xyz cladding alignment, fixed v-groove cladding alignment, and mass (ribbon) fusion splicing for up to 12-fiber counts.
Our FITEL S185 specialty fusion splicers cater to unique optical fiber and large diameter fiber fusion splicing needs, with the capacity to splice optical fibers with cladding diameters ranging from 80µm to 800mm.
We offer a variety of models in our FITEL 2-electrode series, including:
- S185HS (High Strength)
- S185LD (Large Diameter)
- S185PM (Polarization Maintaining)
- S185PMLD (Polarization Maintaining Large Diameter)
- S185EDV (End-View)
These models support optical fibers with diameters ranging from 80µm to 500µm. Our S179 and S154 models are compatible with fibers ranging from 80µm to 150µm. For ribbon fiber fusion splicing, we recommend the Fitel S124X and S124M12-80 models, which can manage ribbon splicing for 125µm and 80µm fiber, respectively.

Our patented PentaPod® multi-axis alignment stage ensures optimal fiber alignment and fusion splicing with its automatic XYZ, pitch/yaw alignment on both the left and right stages. This is particularly effective for angle-critical applications.
Further enhancing the efficiency of the PFS fusion splicer is the inclusion of 3SAE’s third-generation Ring of Fire® technology. This revolutionary feature takes the fusion splicer’s capabilities to new heights.
The PFS fusion splicer is an excellent solution for a variety of demanding tasks, including end-cap splicing and fiber bundle output splicing. It is also ideal for angle-critical fusion splicing in high-powered fiber laser systems, showcasing its versatility and adaptability.
