NorthLab ProCleave™ LD-EC - Large Diameter Fiber Cleaver with Extended Clamp
The NorthLab ProCleave™ LD-EC is an automatic fiber cleaver built for sensitive large diameter fibers. It handles cladding diameters from 125 to 550 µm and features an extended glass clamp mechanism that minimizes the risk of fiber damage during the cleaving process. The ProCleave LD-EC is specifically adapted for Photonic Crystal Fibers (PCF), Hollow Core (HC), and similar sensitive fiber structures where conventional cleavers risk breaking the fiber.
The cleaver’s universal clamping mechanism is self-adjusting to the fiber diameter applied. No external parts or accessories are required. All crucial cleaving parameters are automatically monitored and controlled, producing very flat end faces and low cleave angles (typical <0.5°). The ProCleave LD-EC supports four programmable cleave programs, selectable via the touch panel, and is powered by a built-in rechargeable Li-Ion battery or an external power supply (100-240 V AC, 50/60 Hz).
